Sea breeze stirs up hunger

How to turn an ailing, empty central train station into a premium address for one-day vacationers and visitors to the port was demonstrated by Berner on the isle of Rügen on behalf of the Peters bakery, jointly with the architectural office Kolde. The preservation of the historical building also played an important role, as the aim was to maintain the building's charm also on the inside. Using interesting lighting concepts and quality furniture, Peters offers on around 300 m² a generously-appointed and visually surprising anchorage. Spectacular is the 11-metres long counter on the inside and the large outdoor terrace which affords a view of the port – a true magnet for visitors.
