Berner has completed more than 25 projects over the past years in Russia and UIS. Two shining examples are located in Kaliningrad – and differ from one another as could be. Whereas the "Croissant Café" on the outskirts of Kaliningrad's city centre alludes to the past with its French-style colour scheme and a choice of colour and materials that radiate a pleasantly homey atmosphere, the second café at the merely two-kilometres away Europa Center is defined by colour accents with a daringly curved counter and a lounge zone of utmost contemporary design. Russia has indeed many faces.
