Gem inside the Market Hall
Berner designed the Emil Reimann bakery shop at Stuttgart's most sophisticated consumer market
In the heart of the city, with the palace right next door: Stuttgart's listed Market Hall is a market place in the Swabian met steeped in deep tradition. For the Emil Reimann bakery shop, Berner created a high-end design concept with a great deal of intuition for the beauty of this historic backdrop.
With its elegant shape, the shop blends into one of the arcade's arches – while simultaneously crafting a maximum of retail and counter space. The crowning highlight is the roof canopy shaped like a flat pyramid. It was custom-made by Berner's Technofaktur, and with its crimson colour surrounded by the ensemble of sales stands, it has become a symbol that is easily recognised and visible from afar. Customers welcome the new concept with enthusiasm: sales have clearly risen since the re-opening.
